We men love our hair. There is no other way to put, our hair is like the mane of the stallion. We take pride over it even if we don’t admit it. But this is also a fact that not all of us were born with great hair genes. Your hairline will start receding one day and that’s a fact. the sooner you admit it the better. You can increase its life but the inevitable will come to pass. What you can do is try to use different hairstyles to shadow or rock this receding hairstyle to its full potential.
Here are the few hairstyles to rock if for a receding hairline:
1. The Comb Over
Before you throw bricks on my house, hear me out. I am not telling you to go for a comb-over like Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder or Donald Trump, for God’s Sake. You should go for a comb-over only when your hairline is receding but only a little bit from the sides. Try rocking a comb-over with only short or medium length hair.
2. The Side Part
When your hairline has started to recede, this is easily your best bet. If you can control your partition line properly, you might be able to create an illusion where you could hide that receding hairline. Just part your hair a bit higher and comb them over the receded part to create a perfect illusion.
3. The Middle Part
This is a real tricky one to pull off but once achieved it gives you a completely different and edgy look. The trick to pulling this off properly is to apply a bit of product. Also, this look can give the illusion of a good set of hir shading the receding area. This looks best when you have thick hair rather than thin.
4. Faux Hawk
This is the hairstyles rocked by most of the people whose hairline has started to recede. They try to hide their receded part by pushing the hair forward. It looks great with most of the face shapes. It has a messy kinda vibe to it like you don’t have to care for it much.
5. The Shelby
The name says it all, this hairstyle is inspired by Thomas Shelby. It doesn’t look like it but Actor Cillian Murphy’s hairline is pretty receded. But the ease with which he rocks the undercut with the top pushed all the way to the forward is amazing. With the ever so growing popularity of the show, the haircut has eventually become really hip and trendy nowadays.
6. The Ceaser
This hairstyle is really hard to pull off and doesn’t look good with every face shape. As the name suggests it is based on the last dictator of Rome. It can hide your slightly receded hairline really well.
7. Buzz Cut
This is the easiest and time efficient hairstyle to pull off. I think its probably the safest thing to do when you have started to see that your hairline is receding. If you are going for a buzz cut also try to grow a light stubble, see Jason Statham for god’s sake.
8. Full Bald
You have finally gone to point of no return, your best bet now is to go completely bald i.e shave your head. This will be a difficult decision but when it’s between this or looking like Danny DeVito. And Who knows if you have a good head shape you can really pull this off. Try growing a full beard as a contrasting effect goes a long way with this look.
