The first look of Imitiaz Ali’s upcoming movie Love Aaj Kal was released yesterday by its star cast and himself. It is a sequel to his 2009 movie of the same name. While the director did the first movie with Saif Ali Khan (Jai) and Deepika Padukone (Meera), this time he cast two young newcomers of the industry, Kartik Aaryan (Veer) and Sara Ali Khan (Zoe). The two actors have already made their presence felt in the industry by giving successful films last year and hopefully have lots to achieve in the future.

After the release of the first look, the production house dropped to the trailer of the movie too.

The upcoming movie is a romantic drama coming from an outstanding director. Imtiaz Ali has given us films like Jab We Met (2008) and Rockstar (2011) which were both critically and commercially successful. From the poster, it is clear that the chemistry between the young duo will be worth noticing. They look cozy together in the poster showing off their onscreen intimacy. Fans have already named the pair as Sartik, long before the release of the movie.

The star cast along with the director posted the first look of the movie across social media yesterday. This made the fans go crazy on social media. People started reposting it and minutes later it was everywhere.

Besides Kartik and Sara, Randeep Hooda also plays an important role in the upcoming movie. He too shared the first look on his social media handles with the hashtag #LoveAajKal.

Fun fact: The name Veer was also used by Imtiaz in the previous film. The name of the character played by Rishi Kapoor in that movie was Veer.
